I had a spinal fusion operation in Ipswich Hospital which was a big success. My experience was excellent throughout. I much appreciated the efforts of the whole team in providing care when needed, surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists and care assistants. Hospital Radio was a godsend during the first 48 hours when the pain was worst.
Even cheerful people dispensing meals and tea helped to lift spirits.
I was sent home with a bed support, walking sticks and medication. That bed support was invaluable in helping to get out of bed. The entire procedure was well planned and I felt supported once I returned home.
The car parking arrangements are far superior to that of any other hospital I have ever attended. It was good to have a form stamped by the ward staff and not have to pay for parking again after day 1.
"Excellent care from beginning to end"
