I have been registered at this practice for many years but haven't had to visit for the last 6 years so I don't know what it has been like then. However, I did need to go today and having looked last night at some of these reviews I was really put off and worried about it to be frank.
My experience couldn't have been more different. I called last night to check I was still registered and the receptionist was polite and confirmed that I was and to call at 8 am. for an appointment. I duly called at 8.01 this morning and the call lasted 3 minutes including waiting time and I was given an appointment with a nurse practitioner this morning, which is perfectly adequate for my needs. The nurse practitioner was lovely, thorough and very helpful. I can't complain at all about my experience with the practice.
My health needs are not in any way complex and I can imagine that people with complex needs might struggle to be at a practice with so many patients but in my view it should be remembered that this is a city centre medical practice (in fact the only nhs city centre medical practice in Leeds as far as I am aware) and has over 13k patients. It's clearly going to be busy, which is perhaps not suitable for some. For me, I can't complain at all and just wanted to add a review of my own to balance the picture a little - reading these reviews some living and working in the city centre might be worried that they can't access health services when they need them and in my experience that isn't the case with this practice. Everybody has their own experience though.
