When I was first referred to Cobalt Hospital by my GP I confess to being a bit anxious that I was not heading for RVI or Freeman
I needn’t have been anxious for in fact it is a little gem! It was no problem to park and the reception area and receptionists themselves immediately put you at your ease
At my pre-op meeting with Surgeon, nurse and Anaesthetist I was fully advised about all aspects of the procedure and their approach was comforting and caring. This allayed a lot of my anxieties about the coming op ( mine an Inguinal hernia )
When the op took place I was made to feel important and valued. It didn’t feel impersonal at all and in fact my Anaesthetists put me totally at ease
The op ( general anaesthetic) flew over and I was helped to retrieve clothes etc by the really nice nursing staff. I was also given an absolutely delicious cuppa and biscuit by a lovely nurse who I felt went out of their way to look after me
So 1000 thanks to those unsung heroes that unfortunately I cannot name. It’s wonderful that gems like the Cobalt Hospital exist to care for us and that their good people serve to cure and repair us. Bless them all ??
