"Total disgrace"

About: Charles Clifford Dental Hospital

Visited Charles Clifford today after knowing the receptionist had booked me in the wrong department.I phoned for an appointment in maxillofacial department as I have found another lump in my throat (bear in mind I have had 5 previous ops for removal of tumours )and the receptionist gave me one for oral clinic.I explained I don't want Oral clinic for them to say it goes through that department to get to maxillofacial.I booked an appointment for the letter to arrive a week later, (now a total of 7 weeks wait)for an appointment that was for today,4 more weeks to wait, for oral clinic.Once again I phoned the clinic and explained the situation to be told I will be seen in maxillofacial. After booking time off work and £20 in taxis,I turned up for the appointment.I was called in and after me saying "Im in the wrong department" and explained the 2 phone calls to the receptionist and my problem of the growth the clinician then said "you're in the wrong department. We are so sorry.Hopefully someone can see you today downstairs. But they couldn't.No appointments left.Absolute sham...I'm fuming knowing it's not toothache we're dealing with here..it's my life...I'm so pleased I went to my GP for them to transfer me to Rotherham last week, and explained the situation to them ,because Charles Clifford receptionists don't know what day it is...Disgraceful.
