"Diabetes team"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Diabetic medicine

I have reacently been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and have recieved amazing care from Kings diabetes service.

From the diabetes technician who carried out my Oral glucose challenge test to the dietician who delivered the group education service the following Monday, following up with and additional email to confirm results of tests and review my blood sugar levels ahead of the diabetes clinic the the following week.

The gestational diabetes clinic was very busy though I never felt rushed when seeing the diabetes nurse or the midwife.

Many thanks for your comments about your care under our diabetes team during your pregnancy.

I remember well myself having gestational diabetes with my second child born at King's and, as with you, the care was amazing. We fully acknowledge the the clinic can be very busy and the trust is doing a lot of work to improve outpatient services such as this one.

Despite the business, it's good to hear that you didn't feel rushed.

I do hope that you are doing well.
