"Given the run around"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Endocrinology

Referred to endo due to autoimmune thyroid disease...first appointment I thought great someone who understands...well not quite the case. Clinic never runs on time, consultant told me 1 story to my face but sent a much different response in writing. Ran out of higher dose of medication perscibed by them, secretary said they would sort and call back but never did. Keep getting told by consultant they wants to see me every 5/6 weeks but since my last appointment I've been waiting 2 moths and have just been told clinics are running 8 weeks behind. So all in all far from happy with this service and I am now in discussions with patient liason service to see if I can move my care.
