"Such care and attention"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Physiotherapy University Hospital Ayr / Physiotherapy

(as the patient),

I recently attended physio therapy at Ayr Hospital and Hydrotherapy at Crosshouse Hospital after having spinal surgery.

I can not praise the staff highly enough that were involved in my treatment.  Paula at Ayr physio has been very, friendly, helpful, understanding and caring.  She really took time to listen and understand my complex needs and put together an achievable plan of action to get back on my feet and back to work. Job done.

While attending Ayr physio I was referred by Paula for hydrotherapy at Crosshouse Hospital again Joyce and Carol at Crosshouse made these regular visits a pleasure from making the appointments to being in the pool. Such care and attention given, it almost did not feel like treatment and was a joy to attend.  Hydrotherapy was definitely instrumental in my recovery and therefore worth its weight in gold.  Just don’t make the pool and deeper, or us shorties won’t be able to reach the bottom of the pool.

Thank you to you all for helping in my treatment. Great assets to the NHS.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear DHH,

Thank you so much for this lovely feedback about out Physios and Hydrotherapy. I can't imagine how scary it must be having spinal surgery, so to be recovering and enjoying your recovery physiotherapy is a testament to Paula, Joyce, Carol and to you.

I will pass this on to both Ayr and Crosshouse Physio teams, I am sure they wil be delighted.

Although I suspect they teams will already have seen them during my unscheduled absence.

best wishes,

Eunice
