Went in for a septoplasty operation. Got there at 7:15am and was found a bed within 10 minutes. Blood pressure, etc taken and was kitted up and ready to go less than half an hour later, then waiting around for my time to go to theatre. Was wheeled in at about 11:30am and was chatting to several members of staff whilst waiting for theatre to be free. Woke up 1 hour later and was wheeled back to the ward. Recovery took about 4 hours in total and I eventually went home at 6:45pm. This was the first time I've had a procedure under general anaesthetic and I felt very relaxed by the attitude of all the staff present. They were efficient and caring, hard working, informative and always asking if I was ok.
Although I never want to go back to hospital for anything else, I would not be disappointed to learn I would be going back to ward 105.
Excellent all round.
Thanks.
