"unfair and unprofessional"

About: St Mary's Hospital / Dermatology

I have been a patient at the Dermatology Clinic at St. Mary Portsmouth for about 4 years. In the last year I have been extremely disappointed with the treatment received.

I have been waiting for allergy tests since February 2017. In August I phoned the hospital to have an update on it. I was told that my name had been removed because I hadn't attended the appointments.

I was shocked to hear that, as I had been desperately waiting for this appointment that would hopefully put an end to my skin problems.I made sure they had the right address that had been confirmed by me several times. I explained no letter had arrived to me and kindly ask for another appointment. I was given one and promised a letter would be sent shortly. One month later no letter had arrived so I decided to call again. I needed it to ask my employer for time off. On the phone I was told the letter had been sent out 3 weeks before just like all the other appointments letters in the past 3 years. I decided to go personally to hospital to collect the letter. On the phone I was promised the letter would be there printed waiting for me. I arrived at the dermatology reception and explained that there was an appointment letter I had to collect. The receptionist said there was no letter but offered to print it for me. She also asked me if my house had a box letter! I chose not to answer the question. When the letter came out, I noticed on the letter there was my address of 5 years ago. That explained why no letters had reached me in the past 3 years despite me confirming my address various times on the phone and in person. The receptionist insinuated that it was me that has asked for the letters to be sent o my previous address.

Needless to say I have been on antihistamines and have had serious concerns waiting for these allergy tests. I feel I have been treated unfairly and mocked on top of that.
