I visited the Outpatients Dept of the NOC today to see Prof. I was seen promptly, given a thorough assessment and explanation by them who is the person I specifically wanted to see. They were helpful enough to be able to arrange for me to have a hip injection under ultrasound guidance by Dr and an MRI the same day. I saw Dr promptly and they were extremely skillful and their assistant was friendly and reassuring.I then had an MRI exactly on time and the staff were all extremely friendly but thorough, they all introduced themselves, the facilities for getting changed etc were good and so no one would feel embarrassed. They went to great effort to make the whole experience as pleasant as possible.
The receptionists in the Orthopedic were particularly good. They were thorough and friendly, and I watched one receptionist take trouble to personally show a lady to the correct desk when she had got lost once, without making her feel embarrassed, and I also saw them take time and trouble to identify the correct GP for a gentleman whose GP practice in Bicester had closed and he didn't know who his GP was, all without betraying a trace of irritation. They are clearly very good at their job.
I used to come to the NOC with my son 15 years ago when he had hip problems as a child, and the difference in the patient experience is remarkable. I was particularly grateful to have all my investigations/treatment on one day. Thank you very much.
"Exceptionally good, patient-friendly punctual..."
