"Standard of Service"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Dermatology

(as a service user),

I attended  the  Ambulatory  Care  Dept  of  Forth  Valley  Royal  Hospital  as  an  outpatient  for  the examination  and  possible  removal  of  two  facial  growths.   One  was  removed  and  a  sample  of  the  other  was  taken  and  sent  away  for  analysis.

The  point  of  my  story  is  to  mention  the  exceptional  standard  of  kindness,   care  and  understanding  provided  by  the  dermatologist  and  nurse -  Dr  D Miller(? )  and  Doreen - as  well  as  the  efficiency  shown  in  carrying  out  what  needed  to  be  done.   People  often  say  that  the  difference  in  the  service  provided  between  private  and  NHS  care  is  vast,   and  I  felt  I  was  treated  that  day  like  a  private  patient.   All  this  despite  the  fact  that  they  were  very  busy  and  could  have  been  excused  for  adopting  a  'factory  line'  approach.   The service,   on  all  counts,   was  highly  commendable.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback which I have shared with the minor operations team. We are very pleased that your experience within the NHS and in particular our team was a positive one. I hope your wounds are healing well.

Thanks again.
