I visited the hospital in September regarding my arm and wish I'd never bothered.

I'd heard Wrightington hospital was the place to go and did my homework on suitable consultants to deal with my issue.

Unfortunately I appear to have picked the most unsympathetic and uninterested consultant on the planet.

Yes, I was referred for an xray (which took so long, the consultant and staff thought I'd got lost or gone home), but I was unhappy as this would not show any soft tissue damage or swelling. Basically I was told my issue wasn't too bad (they weren't the one in pain) and to come back when it got worse! £250 for that advice....what a joke!

Thank you for your posting. I would be happy to look into your concerns if you wish to contact the Patient Relations Department on 01942 822376 to discuss. However I note you have advised that this was a cost of £250 which would lead us to believe that this was a private appointment which would not fall within the remit of the NHS, but please contact the department and we will look to signposting you in the right direction to raise your concerns.
