Unfortunately I had to go to this hospital where I had a miscarriage at 12weeks. The staff offered no support and very little advice. I was not even given a piece of paper with any offer of support or where to go if support was needed. I miscarried naturally which was a very long process I was not offered any alternative even when requested. I was told just to wait it out.
Unfortunately I then had to return to this hospital where I had a second miscarriage in the same year. Again I was given no support or advice. I had bloods taken and was told to call again after a second lot were taken which fell on a weekend. The staff would not give me the results over the phone even though I was told they were. I also knew at this point I was going to miscarry so it was very frustrating that I was not allowed my results. I then called Monday to a midwife who gave me my results and then pretty much put the phone down and that was it! If they had said to me come back for more bloods over the weekend and then call Monday I would have not been so frustrated about the lack help I was given.
After two miscarriages I have still been given no advice or support. I understand that these midwives see miscarriages all the time but they should show some kind of support or point people in the direction they can receive some. I hope I am in the minority or people this has happened to, I have waited nearly a year to write this review as I wanted to wait to see if my opinion would change but unfortunately not.
