"Saved my sons life"

My son had open heart surgery at Glenfield in 2015 which saved his life. He has been a patient since he was born in 2013. The overall care here is superb. My 4 year old wouldnt be here if it wasnt for the nurses, doctors and surgeons on ward 30. Whilst my son was in surgery they all comforted me, kept my mind off things and really helped me to deal with what was happening to my baby. And with their help, suppor and encouragement, my son was home 6 days post surgery. The outpatients dept is just as amazing. My boy adores the nurses who do his ecg, echo and obs so much and he enjoys visiting the hospital for his appointments. Ward 30 and outpatients are like 1 big family and I will never ever be able to thank them enough for saving my son.
