I recently had my 4th child here a week ago now...I'm terribly disappointed that they make you outside in a corridor for hours whilst being in pain and having contractions! Also you never have the same midwife as they are on shifts,so it's difficult to maintain a close knit comfort during the whole birthing process. Having said that,I was lucky enough to have a few different midwives on different shifts during my 24 hour labour and I couldn't have been happier with them all. In particular one midwife, they were incredible and went far beyond call of duty for my comfort . I'm so impressed by the genuine care this midwife provided and treated me more like a friend than a patient. I don't know if it's the baby blues, but I really do miss that time of being in hospital and being looked after for the whole day by such an amazing person who happened to be my midwife for that day. The midwife probably doesn't recall as they have loads of patients, but they delivered my son Rayan and we had a laugh at the way people dress for music festivals LOL,they made it easier for me at the time of birth by letting me know in detail where and when and I can't thank them enough but now as a result I actually miss them and wish I could do it all again just to appreciate the time more and the newness of meeting my little one all over again xxx
"Excellent midwife through actual labour"
