"Thank you Sister!"

About: Stratford Hospital

My friend and I were visiting Stratford for a few days when she slipped and fell on Monday. she hurt her shoulder and arm very badly.

The ambulance was called and after some deliberation, it was decided that she should go to the minor injuries department and Stratford Upon Avon.

We were seen very quickly and her details taken by a very friendly receptionist. We were then taken into a room by the lovely sister, who was so good with us. We were sent for an xray and it showed a broken humerus and possible dislocated arm. She was patched up and an appointment made for the following morning at Warwick. It was all done so quickly as we were due to leave the next day! It had been explained to us that if the arm was broken we would need to go to Warwick and sister had even offered to take us on their way home, but it turned out we could go the next morning.

The thing we were particularly touched by, though, was sister getting us a wheelchair and taking us round the corner to our hotel! Above and beyond the call of duty, especially as they were already late finishing work as they were sorting my friends appointment out! Exceptional dedication and a real credit to the nursing profession! So, thankyou to all involved.
