"Always seems to be someone else's responsibility"

Once I came out of Warrington Hospital for cardiac treatment no-one made contact for 3 weeks and only then by my doctor and wife contacting departments to find out why.

There is a rapid response and re-enablement using the same phone number, fax and office. It ended up on the wrong desk. Not good enough.

Then you have the hospital not letting my doctor know the results of an echo. One of the cardiac secretaries telling me to tell the doctor to request an echo.

No communication between the departments seems to be the order of the day. Being sent down three times for an x-ray and sent back because the doctor hadn't authorised it.

There is not a system for people out of the hospital to receive follow on care efficiently and in the hospital no-one communicates enough - it always seems to be someone else's responsibility.
