Thank you for your feedback. We agree there is limited availability of routine appoinments but we do have a responsive telephone triage system where you will be assesed on the phone on the same day and if need be triaged to a same day appointment.

We cannot open up all our appointmets for direct booking because they would be filled with people who did not really need to see a doctor and resources at the moemnt are very limited across the NHS.

Thus we have to hold some appoitnmenst for those in urgent and or serious need and these apppointments are allocated through our triage system which we recommend you use if you have an urgent or serious problem.

We always call paients when test results are seriously abnormal and ensure the appropriate action is taken.

Due tot he nature of blood tests not every "abnormality" seen is serious or even worthy of mention as things can be abnormal but close enough to normal to not be of any concern.

If you have a specific issue please contact our customer services manager and raise a complaint as we take these things very seriously.

The NHS and primary care in particular is dangerously under funded at the moment and this is outside of our control.

We are doing our very best with the limited funding available.

You may or may not be aware of multiple practices around us who have crumbled to the pressure and handed their contracts back and closed.

If you want to support the NHS and keep health care free at the point of care I would urge you to complain to your MP.
