About: Sheffield Children's Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Had to visit the hospital with my 21 month old grandson, the first time I have ever been to the children's hospital and I was impressed from the word go. We visited the outpatients department and were met by a lovely member of staff who told us where to go and how the system worked. We waited a very small amount of time but as the area is full of colour and interesting things to look at our boy was quite happy. We saw the doctor who was great and very thorough in their examination whilst also keeping our boy entertained and reassured, he did not ever get upset by what was happening ( as he has at other hospitals/doctors). We were sent for an x ray which we were dreading, how do you explain to a lively 21 month old he has to be still, but again the staff and equipment were fantastic and completely stress free experience for us all. We were seen again by the doctor and given follow up appointments all within 1 hour. This place runs like clockwork and my family are very grateful for the care we received from all the staff we came into contact with. Thankyou

Thank you for your comments. Its never nice having to bring children to the hospital but we are really pleased that we managed to make your experience a good one.

We will make sure that your lovely comments are passed to the staff in outpatients and the Xray department, thank you again for taking the time to let us know about your experience.
