"Let's rate them on the actual hospital and not..."

About: Norwich Community Hospital

I'm appalled that this hospital has received such bad reviews consistently for the car parking situation, rather than judging them on their merits as a healthcare unit - had I not encountered the hospital myself, I may be put off going there which would be a darn shame.

I've had to use the out of hours services at ungodly times in the morning, as well as the dental center for emergency NHS patients when I was unable to find a dentist for myself - each time I was seen within an hour and made to feel like I was being looked after. The nurses I saw had a personality and chatted to me, not making me feel like I was a nuisance. Having recently been in NNUH, I can safely say the treatment at other hospitals was not the same - I was ignored, not seen for 12 hours, and after being admitted as an inpatient they lost my notes and nobody could tell me anything. In comparison, this hospital shines and exceeds all expectations set.

The access is easy, and when I was having a little trouble walking, a nurse walking by stopped what they were doing and assisted me to a chair, and offered me some water. The little things make a world of difference and I'm truly saddened to see them being slated because of an independent car park company.

Hi Sian

Thank you so much for posting your lovely comments and your 5 star rating for Norwich Community Hospital!

It was really great to read that your contacts with both the Out of Hours Service and Dental service were person centred, friendly and exceeded your expectations. It was also good to know that we are looking after people in a more general sense such as assisting with a chair or getting a drink, as you say, the little things do matter. We will make sure the services receive your feedback.

many thanks
