About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

my daughter attended the endoscopy/Castro at BRI yesterday for a sigmoidoscopy. I can't thank the consultant, nurses and staff enough for how well they took care of my daughter and also myself. The staff were empathic and realised that the procedure was an ordeal for a young adult to go through. Her dignity and privacy was respected throughout and the nurses also reassured me as I waited in the waiting area, I can not thank the staff enough for the outstanding level of care my daughter recieved. The unit is a credit to this hospital. Thank you.

I am so pleased to hear that your daughter was well looked after by the staff in the Gastro Unit. As you say this is not an easy procedure to have to go through, and it is good to hear that everyone did all they could to support her, and you, through that by showing that they understood that and responding appropriately. I will of course pass this on to the team and their managers, who will really appreciate what you have said - we do think that hearing the things that matter to people and make a difference is so important, it encourages people and reminds them always to combine their professional skills with compassionate care.
