"Paediatric a&e"

About: New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency

I visited a&e yesterday with my 8 year old daughter after being told by her consultant to take her there. We waited approximately 1 hour before being seen by a triage nurse. The Triage nurse was miserable, rude, in caring and didn't listen to a word I was saying they told me my daughters case was not an emergency and sent me to the walk in centre. The walk in centre was very busy and absolutely filthy there was paper everywhere, food and crisp packets all over the floor, one of the toilets was blocked it was vile. The wait was over 2 hours so we did not wait as I can see my own gp today. I am disgusted at the care my daughter received from the triage nurse thet shouldn't be a nurse with their disgraceful attitude so my daughter continues to suffer. Thank you
