I think this is a waste of time. I contacted PALS after my husbands care two years ago, didn't receive any response. Myself, I went into hospital at 7. 30, was put into theatre gown saw the surgeon and signed consent form. At 10. 45 I was told they had no theatre staff so I was sent home. I have a husband with dementia and a great deal of support to put in place!

Thank you for your response. I do realise that the hospital is vastly under staffed, the staff were nothing but helpful. However,this was the second time it had been cancelled,I am no special case,but I have made it aware that I care for my husband who has dementia,therefore it takes a great deal of back up support to be able to leave him.Travel for me,and I had fetched a relative from Norfolk to care for him,who then had to get home ready to come back again,apart from food etc. It is the knock on effect that is not considered.
