"Barnet Victoria Ward; Brilliant midwife!"

About: Barnet General Hospital / Maternity

I delivered my baby on the 28th August and was admitted on the 27th August to Victoria ward. I wanted to take this time to write about a midwife that looked after me. I was soo lucky to have been under their care, they held my hand and was reassuring throughout whilst i was in soo much pain. They was soo accomdating to my family. They did their best to get me a bed on the labour ward and took me there and stayed with me until i got an epidural. This midwife was a huge support and ive never met an nhs work as kind and caring as this! They also came to see me after i delivered and that meant alot. I asked to see them many times as i was in hospital for a week but was told they were not on shift. I wanted to say a massive thank you to them, you made my experience a thousand times better and im soo grateful that i was under your care. Keep doing what your doing, your an amazing midwife! I would higly recommend Barnet hospital, and will choose this hospital again.

Response from Barnet General Hospital

Dear Emine

Congratulations on the birth of your baby, I hope you are both enjoying getting to know each other.

Thank you for leaving feedback at a time when I know new mothers are extremely busy. I would like to personally thank the midwife on your behalf and also nominate them for one of our staff awards; are you able to send me their name to richardchester@nhs.net

I have also shared your feedback more widely and know staff would like me to thank you for taking time to leave it.

I hope to hear from you

With Best Wishes

Richard
