First I would like to say a big Thank You to all concerned!
I have recently been to Rotherham District General Hospital (Ophthalmology Department) for two cataract operations. 23 June 2017 and 8th September 2017. Unfortunately spanning 11 weeks between the two operations (caused by a full closure of the theatre for one month).
That is the only negative point about all of my treatment.
The rest of my treatment was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff! I was certainly frightened but they understood this and helped overcome my fears.
It seems unfair to name individuals, for fear of missing out someone as they were all fantastic. However I must give a special mention to two Surgeons. The Ward Sister and all of their team, (including the Tea staff who instantly learned how to make coffee the way I prefer it), and the member of staff for the ‘before and after’ assessments.
They all went above their duty of care!
The hospital was spotlessly clean in all areas!
Once More Many Thanks!
