"Unable to get an appointment"

About: Leeds PCT

(as the patient),

phoned our family doctors on Tuesday for an appoinment on the Friday,only to be told no appoinments have been released for friday yet phone back tommorow. phoned today to be told no appointments available for friday can have one for next Thursday. Why when I pay national insurance can I not get the appointment required when I need it

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Patient Opinion. I was sorry hear about the problems you experienced at your GP practice.

NHS Leeds works with many GP practices in the city to ensure patients can appropriately access an appointment when required. Each practice manages their appointment system slightly differently however all practices aim to ensure patients can pre-book an appointment or can be seen quickly, where clinically appropriate.
