"I will not be going back to this doctor"

About: Manchester PCT

(as the patient),

I went to my new GP for a repeat prescription and whilst there mentioned that whilst on holiday I had experienced dreadful stomach cramps. Rather than ask me any other questions (apart from clarifying that I was on holiday) or examining me they told me I had a sensitive stomach and should always have a hot lunch. Their final words were that if I had to have a sandwich I should make sure I bought it from M&S. I was too shocked to say anything.

A few months later I went back as a mole (previously confirmed as a mole by a consultant) had developed a halo. The same doctor picked their biro up off his desk and poked the mole with it. Then came the reassuring prognosis that it was not a mole at all it was a "thing" and it was fine.

Needless to say that I will not be going back to this GP.
