Despite many of the health care assistants etc being hard working and caring; the direction of medical care for my mother has been lacking. A senior member of staff reprimanded my mother,(who suffers from Alzheimer's) for not eating. My mother was suffering from severe constipation, and although a daily record was made of bowel movement the situation had been allowed to deteriorate. My mother therefore had little appetite. When blockage was finally removed she began to eat well.At this point her dentures were removed from her and have, to date, not been seen again. Her family were not informed when their absence was discovered and little action was taken to recover them or rectify the situation.
My mother's mental Health had seen little deterioration over the last eight years; but has plummeted since arriving at St. Pancras. Within four days of having her dentures removed, she developed a chest infection and has been transferred to The Royal Free.
