I have been trying to get a replacement appointment for my daughter since the beginning of September as her brace is broken. Have called the hospital four times. She originally had an appointment for end of Sept. They have written twice, changing her appointment to the end of Oct + now the end of Nov. This constantly happens anyway but they don't seem to have grasped that her brace has been broken since the end of August. I have now resorted to writing to the department in the hope that someone who understands will realise that she actually needs an acute appointment. As well as that, parking is a nightmare at the hospital + expensive if you happen to manage to get a space. She has a blue badge, that usually helps but my husband forgot it one day + parked in the last remaining space in the car park, which was blue badge, with a note in the car explaining + we ended up having to pay a parking ticket of £70. She's too young to go into the hospital alone + lack of parking would have made her late.
