"Put me off having anymore children"

About: Russells Hall Hospital / Maternity

So this was my first baby. Waters broke at 6am, I called triage. The midwife told me not to come in unless I'm in pain and to try and stay at home as long as possible. 12 hours passed and enough was enough. Went to hospital and I was 6cm dialated only to be told to go home and come back at 6am by 12am the pain was excruciating. I went back into hospital and gave birth within a couple of hours. I was left with dried blood on my hand due to having a cannula fitted. A bloodstained bedsheet from which was used for whilst I was giving birth need I add I was left lying on this for 6 hours. Due to being left so long with my waters broken I contracted an infection as did my baby. My antibiotics were also missed on 2 occasions. Worst hospital ever. Really is put me off having another child.
