My son had an accident and broke his thumb. The ambulance arrived quickly and within 5 minutes we were at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
Services at the A&E were quick, he was seen promptly and sent for x-ray. He was given the appropriate pain relief and admitted overnight.
The staff at Friston Ward were lovely. In the morning the anaesthetist and surgeon came to see him before his operation.
The nurses in the recovery ward were very friendly, caring and supportive as well as the lady in the plaster room. He went for a plaster cuff change the week after and he is recovering very well.
Whilst at hospital my son felt at ease and showed no signs of fear. It was a big experience for him and I am glad he made it through.
I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff at the Friston Ward, the surgeons and the lady at the plaster room for such amazing service.
