"Poor care and disinterested staff"

My dad recently got admitted to Dryburn and ended up staying for 3 weeks. The standard of care and communication was incredibly poor and as I have worked as a nurse for 25 years I have a reasonable idea of what to expect. It was incredibly challenging to fine out what was happening with my dads care and phone staff were very dismissive on a daily basis. My dad had a fall during his stay which the staff did not think to inform my mum of. It wasn't until another patient told my mum that we became aware. My dad was not watched taking medication, so regularly missed doses. Additionally he was infrequently changed, allowed to wear other people's clothes and had minimal help with grooming.

My dad had no treatment during his stay and gradually declined. In my opinion he could have been discharged much more promptly and avoided further problems associated with his stay
