"Fantastic care for MS"

About: Royal Preston Hospital / Neurology

I was transferred to Royal Preston Neurology from another hospital in June 2017 after losing feeling in my lower body and struggling to walk. The care I received from all the staff in Preston Neurology was fantastic. It was a very scary time for myself and my family and we were kept up-to-date with my care and the progress of all the tests that were being carried out to try and reach a diagnosis. I also benefitted from good coordination between the Neurology department and occupational therapy, neurophysios and the MS Nurses who have been an invaluable service to me in recovering from my MS relapse. Almost fully recovered from this relapse, I just wanted to say thank you so much to all the team at Royal Preston Neurology - you kept my spirits up despite how overwhelmed I was at my diagnosis.

It is vital to hear from our patients and relatives when things don't go well, so we can focus effort on improving services and making things better, but it also means a lot when patients share their positive experiences so we have a chance to celebrate great practice and share this with staff.

We're glad to hear you're getting over your relapse and thank you for the kind comments.

We have already passed it on to the Neurology senior management team who will be delighted to share with their staff.
