"Poor care of my mother at Broomfield"

I found the hospital staff on the ward my mother was admitted to seemed to have a very lax attitude towards her care & attention.

My mother was admitted to stay in hosp because she was dehydrating due to her illness. When i went to visit her she had no water jug in her room. Her bathroom had not been cleaned that day as there was a horrible smell coming from the bathroom. She had a stomach prob so the bathroom should have been cleaned on a regular basis.

Sometimes my mother buzzed for help to her side room. She was hardly acknowledged. Me & my sister had to do most of the work the nurses should have been doing for our mother. We were going up to the hospital caring for our mother when the staff just sat around the front desk chatting to each other instead of caring for the patients on the ward.

I have no trust whatsoever in the NHS now.
