My dad recently suffered a stroke and ended up in ward 3E in Crosshouse Hospital. The care provided by the staff on this ward is second to none and has been without doubt exceptional. unfortunately dad has suffered 2 strokes in 3 weeks and was also transferred for a period to Ayr Hospital. His experience and in turn our experience with ward 3E reaffirmed the standard and care provided by all staff on ward 3E at crosshouse to be simply the best. All members of the team are so helpful, kind and evidently care greatly for their patients. Another notable difference on this ward is the emphasis put on teamwork, everyone appears to work so well together regardless of position which seems to result in a very smoothly run ward. we cannot thank the staff enough for the care and kindness shown to both my dad, the patient and his family at this challenging time. Moreover how accommodating everyone was in letting us stay with him at a very difficult and anxious time. All members of staff have consistently taken the time to ensure we understoof what was happening at all times and in a busy ward this in itself is much appreciated. The staff all have a manner that is just perfect for the stroke ward and are evidently leading the way in care provision, we will be eternally grateful to all staff for everything they have done for dad and would hope all wards in all hospitals were run with such professionalism and yet so personal to each patient.
