"B18 daily visit for IV"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Cardiology

On behalf of my mum, daughter and myself, please could you pass on our thanks to all the staff on B18 who looked after mum on her daily visit to the ward for IV drip. We were treated with care, great teamwork, dignity and efficiency.

This service saved mum from being admitted for the same treatment, which would have caused a lot of distress. Although we had to use a diffferent room every few days due to bed shortages, the care stayed the same. I work for the NHS and know the pressures and constraints the frontline staff or under, even so nothing was too much trouble.

A care pathway has also been set up so mum can access the service again, should the need arrive.
