"No one wants to help anymore"

About: Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust

So Canada house Gillingham have discharged a depressed suicidal me and said we have passed you to your docs for care in the community ,so I contact them and cos im agoraphobic and a recluse with no friends or anyone to help me ,all they said was go to A&E well try telling that to someone who is terrified of the outside world ,what the hell is wrong with mental health in Medway ,they wont give correct help you need and ask for and then just leave you to struggle alone ,Im on the edge and this is pushing me slowly over, I dont want to die but living with the mental health problems and having no one care makes me feel I want to put an end to my pain ,for heavens sake Medway look after your patients or you will end up causing more people to take their lives who could have been helped.

We are very sorry to note that you have not felt the response from our community team to have been appropriate or helpful.

While it would not be appropriate to discuss an individual case on a website we would say that there is renewed focus on improving support to people

with mental health needs at primary care, i.e. G.P. level.

If you do not feel that this is appropriate we would encourage you to discuss you concerns with your GP who would be able to refer you back to secondary care services if it was felt this was necessary.

There are also additional sources of support such as the Kent Mental Health Support line which is available around the clock and can be contacted on 0800 107 0160.
