I was unexpectedly admitted from New Cross last Wednesday to treat a complicated brain aneurysm. From the second the paramedics collected me to my admission at New Cross and my immediate transfer here I have been bowled over by the amazing staff our NHS has. This hospital is immaculate with staff of all nationalities who I can only describe as angels! From the cleaners who have kept me entertained whilst mopping the floor around me to the top consultant nothing is too much trouble for anyone.
I have never had to experience any health scares in my life so far so to be suddenly struck down with an unexpected aneurysm was obviously terrifying for me and my family and friends. The care and dedication I have received from all the lovely nurses here has made me feel secure and safe and I am proud of our wonderful NHS and feel so lucky that we have such a wonderful hospital so close by.
Every single nurse here has devoted their care and extra time, unpaid overtime I may add, and nothing is too much trouble for them. From a hot chocolate in the night when I couldn't sleep to magicking up biscuits and a slice of cake when my teenage daughter was worried an upset.
This hospital is a credit to our country and NHS. Thank you for such wonderful continuous care 😍
