"East Surrey Hospital overnight stay"

I can't not be more grateful to staff at East Surrey hospital for their kindness, warmth and care.

After an extremely long, literally painful wait at Surgical Assessment Unit (it was Very long about 6 hs)I was seen by the surgeon Aeyshah who took care of me and my problem.

I cannot stress enough how amazing, professional, caring, thorough and simply kind she was. Thank you Ayeshah, thank you!

When they took me to the theatre all guys were so understanding, I think it was written all over my face how scared and worried I was. Thank you to the anaesthesiologists, lovely nurse who was holding my hand which was calming and of course all staff in the theatre who I never saw after anesthetic kicked in.

In the recovery unit I was looked after by Pedro, hope I got the name right, he was so kind, telling me everything that was going on and helping me with the pain.

Surgery ward was beautiful, clean and again people working there made my recovery easier.

Thank you, I truly appreciate everything you've done.

Dear AFA,

It is never very nice having to have an unplanned operation and it can be a very stressful and nervous time. I am pleased that our staff did all they could to reassure and calm you and that you felt they were professional, kind and caring. You mention a number of different teams across the surgical division and I will ask that your comments are circulated to them.

From what you describe it sounds like you were a patient in our new surgery centre that opened recently, I'm glad you liked it.
