"Admitted with my 2 year old son"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I was admitted with my 2 year old son on 13th September 2017 after he had been vomiting for a few days and had a low blood sugar. I was immediately greeted by the nurses on pau who took care of both of us shortly followed by the doctors. Everyone took time to listen to what I had to say and were brilliant with my son especially during cannulation and bloods.

When we were transferred around to the ward for my son to have Iv fluids, the staff, although very busy gave us a very warm welcome. If I asked for anything the nurses and healthcares were always quick to provide it and made it seem like it was no trouble at all despite them being busy.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in my sons care and although it was a very swift admission it was made less stressful by everyone's efforts. Keep up the good work under current pressures. You do an amazing job!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments regarding the Paediatric Assessment Unit and then afterwards on Skylark.

The ward team are dedicated to providing excellent care for children and their families and we are so glad that you appreciated the hard work that entails.

I hope your son is now feeling better and is on the way to a speedy recovery.

Regards

PAU and Skylark Ward
