"My time on the Neurology Ward"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Neurology (Brain, Spinal and Nerves)

(as the patient),

I wish to pass on my thanks to the Neurology doctors and the staff nurses in Ward 205.

The Senior Charge Nurse, I think her name was Caroline, she was just amazing and, it was really nice to see a charge nurse so hands on with patient care. For me, she really did go above and beyond. She knew who I was and on the Friday especially, went out of her way to make sure I was okay and as comfortable as I could be in the circumstances.

The nurses were all brilliant, they always gave me as much time as I needed and, made sure several times a day I wasn't sore. It was appreciated.

It’s lovely to read about your positive experience of care during your time in the neurology ward. All the ward staff – with a special mention for Senior charge nurse Caroline - will really appreciate that you have written to thank them through Care Opinion.

We think it’s really important to take time to get to know each patient and find what matters so that everyone feels cared for as an individual – knowing the nurses gave you as much time as you needed helps let us know we got this right for you.

I hope you have fully recovered and are feeling comfortable at home too.

Take care,

Kirsten
