Apologies for the delay in writing this but in June I was a patient on Lawrence ward after giving birth to my daughter via C section. I want to say how well I was cared for by all the maternity staff but wanted to say a particular thank you to the theatre team who were efficient and reassuring and I felt safe. Also thank you to the student who cared for me over night on the ward ( unfortunately I didn't get their name) and to the Health care assistant who helped me a great deal when I was struggling with my emotions!
It was obvious how stretched the Midwifes were!
