"Appointment system chaotic"

About: City Hospital / Dermatology

I had an appointment at the dermatology unit at Sheldon Block for 9th May 2017.

I cancelled as I was due to go on holiday and was told they couldn't give me another date on the phone as the diary wasn't open yet?

Didn't quite understand that?

Since that date I have waited for another appointment to come through but nothing was received.

I therefore rang today chasing the appointment and after being transferred and given another number to call I was advised that an appointment was sent for 30th May.

I have received no communication whatsoever and find it hard to believe they had managed to book me in so soon after the conversation I had previously had.

However I explained the situation and have now been advised that I have been discharged and have to go back to the doctors and start again!

No wonder the NHS is in such a mess!

I now have to have time off work and start all over again.

I am very annoyed!
