My child who has a severe drink problem was taken by ambulance to Barnet hospital a few weeks ago after falling downstairs at home, the staff were extremely courteous at all times and also to my partner and I.
They made no judgement of my child who they have seen many times over the last year, the nurses, doctors, registrar and consultant all treated us with respect and advised a stay in overnight for observation was necessary.
The consultant did say my child was too young to be ruining their health and life and warned it could be a fatal accident next time if they fell again.
At no time were any of the staff rude to us, unfortunately my child has fallen downstairs today again and the staff are equally concerned.
Too many people are quick to criticise staff in a busy a&e dept, but Barnet staff are the tops.
