Was induced and left on a ward alone after my partner was told he was not allowed to stay with me as I was not in labour. Was given the gel to trigger labour @ 1am. Left to my own devices for 6 and a half hours even though I buzzed for assistance numerous times as I was in such pain. 7:45am I was told I was being moved to another ward. I was made to walk bareing in mind I could just about manage to do that, I 2nd in floods of tears and telling the midwife I felt I needed to push. I was ignored until I started to swear at the staff. Only then I was taken notice of. I was examined for them to then tell me I was 9cm dilated. At this time I was still alone as my partner was told to leave and not come back until 10am. Luckily for me he sat in the car in the car park and just about made it in time to see his first child Come into the world. I was rushed down to delivery where nothing was in place or ready for me. Once baby arrived I was left in delivery suite for 4 hours, my partner had to change the dirty sheets from under me and make the room a little less untidy. New cross hospital is so slack it's unreal.and that goes for the staff also. Never again will I give birth here!!
