"Great maternity experience"

About: Queen's Hospital / Maternity care

I went into hospital as advised by triage after feeling reduced movements from by baby and 40 weeks and 6 days pregnant.

I was seen to quickly by midwives and saw a doctor. They advised that i was going to be offered an induction as I was over due and risk of still birth.

Waited for a bed on antenatal.

I was induced and transferred to labour ward 6am following day.

My daughter was born at five pm.

Transferred to the post natal ward that evening and stayed till lunchtime the next day.

I had a positive experience in all parts of care. A great, friendly team who deserve recognition

I would like to start by saying congratulations on the birth of your baby and thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. It makes me very proud of the team as they have all worked incredibly hard to ensure that women get the best possible experience. I will ensure your feedback gets passed onto both teams so that they are aware of your kinds words and what a difference they have made to you. Thank you once again for taking the time to let us know about your experience.

Kind Regards

Wendy Matthews

Deputy Chief Nurse / Director of Midwifery
