"Not everyone receives the same maternity care"

About: St Michael's Hospital / Maternity care

Maybe I'm just sensitive, or maybe I'm just one of those people that midwives don't like? Out of all the many midwives I have had the pleasure of dealing with, only two offered genuine care, respect and compassion for their patients. The rest seemed to not like my presence. Even though I did my best to not bother them, ask for drinks or do anything that might make their busy days even busier, I was treated poorly. The way they speak to you is as if your presence is not welcome. Your opinions do not matter, you will be mocked if you tell them your fears. I am dreading my baby's birth here and would quite happily birth the baby at home instead of this hospital. Even though I have conditions that require hospital care. My care here has been really upsetting.

I am pleased for the women that received great care and enough to give 5 stars, I wish I was as lucky as you.
