A few months ago I left a glowing review of the EPAU and Surgery team as I had suffered a miscarriage and required surgery. Following on from that it was now confirmed that I had suffered a Molar Pregnancy as was required to be registered with Charing Cross Hospital for further assessment, although it has been a very tough time, the hospital has been fantastic in arranging this and fingers crossed this pesky experience is coming to an end. However this isn't why I am once again complimenting Russell's Hall Hospital.
28th August I developed excruciating right sided flank pain, nothing I have ever felt before, it left me in shock and resulted in ambulance admission and one of the most frightening experiences of my life. Although I have some little grievances with the Ambulance service (as grateful as I was for there response certain aspects could be improved but I do not wish to go in to that) but Russell's Hall Hospital have once again delivered excellent patient care. I was whisked in to ED, after triage and given pain relief and was thinking id be home the same day...unfortunately it was discovered I was suffering from a severe urine and kidney infection secondary to kidney stones and after another bout of extreme pain I was taken up to B5 and Surgical Assessment and admitted.
I would like to thank the wonderful Nurses and Dr's assessing me as they saved my life! Although it took a little while to get me pain relief at one point due to them being unsure about what was happening to me, myself my petrified mother and partner are all extremely grateful for the care provided and treatment I received. What is more amazing is the fact that after 4days of admission I was much better, but utterly devastated I wouldn't be able to attend a wedding on the 5th day , in which I was bridesmaid, however by sheer coincidence the amazing nurse who delivered such wonderful care to me during my Molar Pregnancy happened to be my nurse. They recognised me and we had such an emotional moment as I was able to Thank them face to face for what they did for me! This nurse must be my guardian angel as the same day they worked endlessly with urology DRS to get me discharged that day and attend the wedding after all. I was given appropriate medication and instructions flawlessly and sent home. This demonstrates the trust values 100% and shows the patient-health professional relationship at its best!
I hope now my luck is on the way up! but I know if I ever have any medical problems that require the intervention of Russells Hall Hospital, or if any of my relatives or friends have any, I know they are in good hands!
Brilliant people. Cant thank them enough
