"Surgery Waiting times"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as the patient),

I attended an appointment and was advised I was to have surgery and the waiting time for this would be around 12 weeks?

This was in october last year, I did receive a phone call to advise it may be more likely to be 6 months, which I said was OK. To date I have had no more details on my surgery and I am in constant pain.

I work in a small team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Part of the team’s role is to support patients and carers through our feedback systems which will help to improve the services we provide. On Patient Opinion, I support Lorna Gray, Patient Experience Public Involvement Project Manager, and Niall McGrogan, Head of Patient Experience Public Involvement.

Dear Daisy Cat

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion. I am sorry to read that you have not received any update on your surgery. So that we can look into this further for you, would you please be able to email me at Lisa.Ramsay@ggc.scot.nhs.uk with your name, date of birth, CHI number (not essential) and quote the reference 393935?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes
Lisa
