"I cannot praise our National Health Service highly enough for their care and dedication"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

My husband had a heart attack in January and had an emergency stent inserted.

The care from the hospital was absolutely excellent from the paramedics who brought him into the hospital to the nurses and doctors who looked after him.

Just recently he had not been feeling as well as he had been since the heart attack and felt that there was something untoward related to his heart again.

We visited Hairmyres hospital A&E on a and he was taken immediately for examination. After various tests he was told he could go home and was reassured that all was fine. The staff at the hospital were excellent and I would like to thank them for their professionalism, efficiency and quality of care.

Staff nurse Thomas  was so helpful, keeping us relaxed with his great sense of humour and attitude. A special thanks to him. I cannot praise our National Health Service highly enough for their care and dedication

Dear Sharapova

Thank you so much for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. We work extremely closely with our hospital colleagues to ensure that the care the ambulance service provides supports and complements the care that the patient receives when they arrive at hospital. It is always nice to read an example of where this has worked well.

I was sorry to hear that your husband has not been feeling well recently but was glad to read that the staff at Hairmyres were able to reassure you both.

On behalf on the Scottish Ambulance Service, please pass on my wishes to your husband.

Take care

Martin.
